{"id":2663,"date":"2021-03-24T11:18:05","date_gmt":"2021-03-24T11:18:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sepri.pt\/noticia\/1-year-of-the-pandemic-in-portugal-sepris-role-in-combating-covid-19\/"},"modified":"2021-03-24T11:18:05","modified_gmt":"2021-03-24T11:18:05","slug":"1-year-of-the-pandemic-in-portugal-sepris-role-in-combating-covid-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sepri.pt\/en\/noticia\/1-year-of-the-pandemic-in-portugal-sepris-role-in-combating-covid-19\/","title":{"rendered":"1 year of the pandemic in Portugal: SEPRI&#8217;s role in combating COVID-19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>  This month marks one year since the first case and death of the Covid-19 pandemic appeared in Portugal.<br \/>\nWe ended March 2020 with   &nbsp;<strong>7,443<\/strong>&nbsp;confirmed cases and&nbsp;<strong>160<\/strong>&nbsp;deaths.&nbsp;It&#8217;s time to take stock and look back so that we can continue to look forward in an increasingly optimistic, but also cautious and safe way.<br \/>\nHow did you fight Covid-19 in Portugal?<br \/>\nWhat goes beyond testing?<br \/>\nHere&#8217;s what has been adapted, reinvented and created for the sake of health and safety.   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p> <strong>Creation of the Covid-19 line<\/strong>, open<strong> 24 hours a day, 7 days a week<\/strong>.<br \/>\nAn exclusive e-mail address has also been set up to answer users&#8217; questions and help direct the most urgent situations <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>We were pioneers in <strong>Covid-19 antigen testing<\/strong>.<br \/>\nWe implemented faster and more widespread testing, which allowed us to quickly isolate positive cases, always using the most sensitive and specific tests on the market. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>We have created a<strong> Drive-Thru <\/strong>for Covid-19 testing in Braga, increasing the convenience and ease of access to tracking &#8220;without having to get out of the car&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>We have joined Telemedicine and offer video consultations in Psychology, Nutrition, Physiotherapy and General Practice so that we can continue to accompany our clients from a distance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>We took the <strong>test to the homes<\/strong> of private individuals, taking into account those who were unable to travel due to reduced mobility or other factors.  <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>We create customized <strong>Corporate Testing Programs<\/strong> for each organization, covering the 3 phases of: Prevention + Testing + Positive Case Management.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>We have created a <strong>Covid-19 Case Management service for organizations<\/strong>: we carry out epidemiological surveys, detect chains of transmission and trace low- and high-risk contacts.  <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>We conducted a <strong>psychosocial study in 90 organizations<\/strong> to assess the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the workplace.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>We read <strong>Covid-19 Antigen Testing in Mozambique<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>We carry out<strong> training and awareness-raising activities<\/strong> in companies, training more than <strong>250 workers<\/strong>.<br \/>\nWe&#8217;ve tackled topics such as &#8220;Returning to Work: what now?&#8221; and &#8220;Teleworking and Time Management&#8221;. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>We created a <strong>sports channel<\/strong> with free weekly workouts to keep workers healthy in quarantine.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>We published more than 150 publications and ran <strong>20 communication and awareness campaigns<\/strong>, including the &#8220;Covid-19 Safe Christmas&#8221; campaign.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>We have drawn up and monitored more than <strong>1,000 contingency plans<\/strong> for our clients, together with occupational health.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>We <strong>audit<\/strong> companies&#8217;
