\/>\nWhat are the restrictions?   <\/h3>\n<p>There are restrictions at the European Union&#8217;s external borders on countries whose epidemiological situation of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sns24.gov.pt\/tema\/doencas-infecciosas\/covid-19\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">COVID-19<\/a>&nbsp;is not considered satisfactory, based on the criteria of the Council of the European Union.<br \/>\nBorder restrictions can be found at &nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.portaldascomunidades.mne.pt\/pt\/conselhos-aos-viajantes\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Portal das Comunidades<\/a>.<br \/>\nWith regard to restrictions between European Union countries, you can consult the &nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/reopen.europa.eu\/pt\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">European Union website<\/a> to find out more.  <\/p>\n<p>As far as Portugal is concerned, air connections to and from the EU countries are currently authorized:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>European Union<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>associated with the Schengen Area (Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland and Switzerland)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>United Kingdom<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;only<strong>essential travel to and from<\/strong>&nbsp;the following countries is permitted:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>South Africa<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Brazil<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>India<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Flights from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Australia<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>South Korea<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Israel<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>New Zealand<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Rwanda<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Singapore<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Thailand<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Hong Kong<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Macau<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This list rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">DGS website<\/a> regularly. <\/p>\n<h3>What are the rules for entering Portugal?<\/h3>\n<p>Upon arrival in Portugal, <strong>all travelers<\/strong> must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><strong>submit&nbsp;<\/strong>proof of&nbsp;<strong>negative<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sns24.gov.pt\/tema\/doencas-infecciosas\/covid-19\/testes-e-tratamento\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">test<\/a>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sns24.gov.pt\/tema\/doencas-infecciosas\/covid-19\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">COVID-19<\/a>,<\/strong>&nbsp;carried out in the last&nbsp;<strong>72 hours<\/strong>&nbsp;before boarding<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>&nbsp;c<strong>omply with isolation for 14 days,&nbsp;when <\/strong>coming from countries with an&nbsp;<strong>incidence<\/strong>rate<strong>equal to or greater than 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants<\/strong>in the last 14 days<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The&nbsp;The <strong>exceptions provided for<\/strong>&nbsp;for the non-obligation of prophylactic isolation on arrival in Portugal are passengers traveling on essential journeys and whose period of stay in national territory does not exceed 48 hours.<br \/>\nExceptions are also provided for those traveling exclusively to practice sporting activities as part of international professional competitions<a href=\"https:\/\/dre.pt\/web\/guest\/home\/-\/dre\/164258748\/details\/maximized?serie=II&amp;dreId=164258746\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">(Order no. 5418-A\/2021<\/a>)<a href=\"https:\/\/dre.pt\/web\/guest\/home\/-\/dre\/164258748\/details\/maximized?serie=II&amp;dreId=164258746\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">.<\/a> <\/p>\n<h3>How can I book the Covid-19 test to travel?<\/h3>\n<p>If you are traveling, you should find out about the possible border restrictions in your country:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>of origin<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>where it will pass<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>destination<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Find out if you need a PCR test or a Rapid Antigen Test in order to enter your destination country.<br \/>\nCheck with your airline, travel agency or the <a href=\"https:\/\/reopen.europa.eu\/pt\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">European Union&#8217;s website. <\/a>  <\/p>\n<p>Once you know which test you need, make sure you book the test in advance of the date and time of your flight to your destination country.<\/p>\n<p>You can book a PCR or Rapid Antigen Test at SEPRI by calling 932 467 755
