Long COVID is currently defined by the spectrum of symptoms that occur in people with probable or confirmed infection with the SARS-Cov-2 virus, usually  3months after <\/strong>the onset of the acute phase of the infection and with at least 2 months duration.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It can be disabling and is estimated to affect 1 in 10 people.
\nBecause it has such a broad spectrum of symptoms, it can often be confused with other illnesses and is difficult to diagnose.

What are the most common symptoms?<\/h3>\n

There are several symptoms that can occur in combination and with varying frequency. <\/p>\n

    Difficulty concentrating and memory problems<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Shortness of breath<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    What is important to know about COVID long term?<\/h3>\n

      It is more common in people who have been hospitalized, but it can also affect people who have recovered from the infection at home.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      It doesn’t affect everyone, but it is estimated to be common to the point of affecting 1 in 10 people.  <\/p>\n<\/li>\n
