Invisible orthodontics and other treatments to take care of your mouth: SEPRI Braga dentistry

World Oral Health Day is celebrated every year on March 20 with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of oral health.
Good oral health contributes to

  • good general health

  • well-being

  • quality of life.

This year, we are dedicated to encouraging as many people as possible to take care of their mouths and smiles, protecting their quality of life. We spoke to the dentist at the SEPRI clinic in Braga, Dr. Cristina Gamboa Torres, about habits that enhance a beautiful, healthy smile, habits to avoid for good oral health and possible treatments, with a focus on the latest innovation in invisible orthodontics.

1 – What habits should we adopt to improve our oral health? ✔️

Good oral health requires certain hygiene habits.
Brushing your teeth after every meal, flossing, rinsing with mouthwash and visiting the dentist regularly are some important habits to incorporate into your daily routine for a healthy mouth and a beautiful smile.

2 – What habits compromise our oral health? ❌

We often hear that we should brush our teeth 2-3 times a day, but some people eat more regularly than that.
Brushing should always be done after every meal.

The diet should also be careful and healthy, avoiding excess sugar which also compromises the health of the teeth.

3 – What dental treatments can be found at the SEPRI clinic?

The SEPRI clinic, run by Dr. Cristina Gamboa Torres, offers a range of dental treatments.
General care is provided, such as treatment for cavities, and specific treatments are also available.
Specific treatments include dental implants, fixed orthodontics and mobile orthodontics, among others.
Within mobile orthodontics, we have Invisalign, which has been in high demand because it combines the aesthetic factor (it’s an invisible treatment) with the advantages of orthodontic treatment.
All patients receive a diagnosis and a personalized plan and are monitored throughout the treatment process.

We answer these 3 questions in more detail on video. Click here to watch the interview with doctor Cristina Gamboa Torres. The SEPRI health services clinic in Braga has several clinical specialties, including dentistry and orthodontics.
