In order to control community transmission, rapid antigen tests should be carried out regularly in all occupational contexts with high social exposure – , namely factories, construction, among others – for the respective professionals.
These are the indications of the Directorate-General for Health standard 019/2020, which came into force on February 11.
In this new strategy for companies and organizations, they must be:
a) Rapid antigen tests (TRAg) are used to obtain results in 15 minutes;
b) The frequency of tests should be 14/14 days;
c) If no cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection are identified: the frequency of screening remains the same, every 14 days, under the terms of DGS Standard 019/2020;
d) If one or more cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection are identified, action should be taken in accordance with DGS Standards 004/202010 and 015/202011, with tracing of contacts at risk and isolation of positive cases.
SEPRI – Medicina no Trabalho has already implemented testing plans for the 91 companies and organizations with which it has a partnership.
The testing plans in organizations must be regular, adapted to the occupational context, and in accordance with the guidelines of the Directorate-General for Health standard.
Failure to comply with a Direção-Geral da Saúde standard places the company in a situation of non-compliance and civil liability.
