Learn how to stay hydrated on hot days

As the temperature rises in summer, it’s important to take extra care to keep your body hydrated.

Tips for staying hydrated:

  1. Drink small amounts of water throughout the day, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
    Anticipate the feeling of thirst.  

  2. Avoid alcoholic, excessively sugary or caffeinated drinks.  

  3. Opt for foods that are rich in water, such as fruit, soups and salads.
    You can opt for cold soups, such as gazpacho.    

  4. As an alternative to plain water, you can opt for teas, flavored water and natural juices.  You can flavor your water naturally by adding: – Fruit, such as lemon, orange, lime… – Cucumber – Cinnamon – Mint  

  5. In the workplace, try to keep a bottle of water near you at all times so that you remember to drink throughout the day.
    If you can’t keep water near you, take regular breaks to drink water.

  6. Stay informed about the weather conditions so you can take the necessary precautions. 

The color of urine can be an important indicator of our state of hydration.
It should be abundant, colorless and odorless.
