If you’re still enjoying your vacation or if you’re returning to work, you should be aware of the precautions you need to take from the moment you leave home and the office until you get back into your routine.
If you’re going on vacation
-
Take enough protective masks with you for the days you are traveling.
Remember that in the case of disposable surgical masks, they should be changed every 4 hours or when they get wet or damp – something that can often happen when traveling on hot summer days.
Wear a mask wherever it is mandatory. -
If you are staying in a hotel or frequently visit public spaces such as restaurants and other establishments, use a disposable handkerchief to touch potentially contaminated objects and surfaces, such as door handles, elevator buttons, stair railings or others.
Always disinfect your hands after touching potentially contaminated objects or surfaces. -
Following on from the previous point, take disinfectant gel with you in your bag and make it a habit to disinfect your hands several times a day.
If you’re going on a family vacation with young children, you can turn this habit into an interesting game for the little ones. -
Practice the social distancing recommended in different places and establishments.
In queues at supermarkets and other similar establishments, respect the signs on the ground marking the 2 meter distance.
At the beach, there are no signs on the sand, but you should keep to the 1.5 meter distance between towels.
Before going to the beach, you can check the occupancy rate to make sure you can keep to this distance.
This vacation can be an opportunity to discover river beaches, waterfalls and other natural hideaways that are less well-known and less crowded, but just as beautiful. -
Before you go on vacation, take a Covid-19 test.
That way you can rest easier.
You also need to show proof of a negative Covid-19 test if you’re staying in a hostel, hotel or guesthouse.
Call 932 467 755 and book your test before you leave.
If you’re back home and at work
-
Leave your shoes, suitcase and any other items you’ve brought back from your vacation in the hallway until you’ve cleaned them.
-
Wash your vacation clothes in the washing machine, preferably at a hot temperature (60º).
-
Wipe down your phone, wallet, book and other objects you used on vacation with disinfectant wipes.
-
Before returning to your workplace, take a rapid Covid-19 test, even if you have no symptoms, as a form of prevention.
You can do this on your own initiative or speak to your occupational doctor to ask if the company has a policy on employees returning to work. -
Continue to respect the correct use of masks, frequent hand and surface hygiene, respiratory etiquette and social distancing.
