With the aim of raising public awareness of the importance of following the health authorities’ guidelines this Christmas, we have launched the COVID-19 Safe Christmas campaign.
The main aim is to raise awareness and prevent a new peak in the pandemic in January.
The awareness campaign is materialized on a billboard in front of the Santa Bárbara garden and on our social networks: Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, where we can be closer to our partners.
Among the thematic phrases that aim to raise awareness are some tips that follow the rules of the Directorate-General for Health: Christmas dinner should be held with a small number of people, maintaining physical distance and wearing a mask whenever possible.
At a time when many Portuguese are booking tests for the days leading up to Christmas, diagnostic centers are available to support people and SEPRI will continue to carry out screenings on December 22, 23 and 24, but getting tested does not automatically equate to a safe Christmas.
It is important for people to understand that the test is not an absolute certainty that they are negative and that the guidelines of the public health authorities should always be followed.
