In fact, there are no healthy companies without healthy workers. On this World Health Day, SEPRI invites you to reflect on the concept of health. HEALTH in its various integrated dimensions, according to the definition of the World Health Organization: “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease”.

Examples of how to positively influence the physical working environment:

Periodically carry out a risk assessment and define priorities for action to mitigate these risks.

Adapting workstations according to the rules of ergonomics.

Provide and raise awareness of the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate to the job.
Periodically assess the levels of exposure to noise, dust, vibrations and other components that affect the physical working environment, making the necessary adjustments to reduce/improve them.
Examples for positively influencing the psychosocial environment at work:

Train leaders in communication, leadership and conflict management.

Carrying out regular Psychosocial Risk Assessments within the company.
Take concrete measures in accordance with the report provided.
Provide employees with the possibility of making psychology video consultations.
Examples for positively influencing resources for workers’ personal health:

Providing employees with the conditions to exercise, through agreements with local gyms or by allocating lunch breaks that are flexible in time and duration, so as to allow time for exercise.

Make it easier for workers to access nutrition consultations or make healthier food available in canteens, pantries or vending machines.

Providing workers with access to smoking cessation consultations, helping them in the process of quitting.

Provide programs to facilitate access to health care for workers and their families.
